On Tuesday night’s state dinner with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, the respect between the two leaders was very evident in their communication to each other publicly. This dinner was scheduled specifically for President Donald J. Trump’s visit and the reason that Jae-in gave for it was absolutely incredible.
The President Moon Jae-in wanted everyone and especially President Trump to know that he was aware that it had been one year since he was elected as the United States President.
Moon Jae-in began his speech by saying, “In Korea, we have a custom of holding a special celebration on one’s first birthday,” adding, “So after pondering about how to best celebrate the first anniversary of President Trump’s victory, I decided to invite the President to Korea as a state guest and hold a banquet.”
Moon Jae- in also declared in honor of Trump’s presidency that he ‘is already making America great again.
Those words to President Donald Trump were received very well and he was honored at the kindness of his speech, he too decided that this leader deserved kudos and respect for his role.
President Trump said, “The relationship that we have is a fantastic one,” he said, further explaining, “The partnership between our two nations and our two people is deep and enduring.”
Once the compliments were given, Trump wanted to also make sure that others heard the what he had to say about North Korea and the security as well as nuclear threat it poses to the world, saying, “Together our nations remind the world of the boundless potential of societies that choose freedom over tyranny.”
From the time he touched down in Seoul, President Trump has focused on North Korea. Trump’s visit comes amid rising tensions in the region and after a summer of several serious warnings from POTUS who promised to meet provocations from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un with “fire and fury.”
As soon as President Trump arrived in South Korea he sent a brutal warning to the North that they would do well to listen to. Trump reportedly warned that the U.S. is poised to unleash the full force of its military power to defend against the “worldwide threat” from North Korea.
While standing next to South Korean leader Moon Jae-in, Trump urged the North to take part in talks.
The president has insisted that they are “making a lot of progress” in reining in North Korea. However, on Wednesday the deranged dictator issued a message to the United States:
the united states will continue to stare into the “abyss of doom” until “lunatic old” president trump is removed from office, according to a north korean missive wednesday, released just hours after trump warned the rogue regime not to “try” america.
“do not underestimate us. and do not try us,” trump said, directly addressing north korea as trump stood in a room full of south korean lawmakers. “the weapons you are acquiring are not making you safer, they are putting your regime in grave danger.”
he added: “the world cannot tolerate the menace of a rogue regime that threatens with nuclear devastation.”
President Trump described North Korea as a bleak country where citizens bribe government officials in order to leave the country, and poverty and desperation thrive instead of prosperity.
